WHAT IS
e-Government application?
E-governance is the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) in government operations to achieve public goals through the introduction of digital means in various autonomous systems between government to citizens (G2C), government to business (G2B), and government-to-government (G2G), facilitating their integration to deliver public services.
It strives to meet citizens' demands for transparency and accountability, to feel more inclusive, and to have the opportunity to restore their trust in their government. Crucially, e-governance should have the effect of proving the merits of “e-governance to stakeholders”.
E-governance applications allow citizens, businesses, and government entities to access government information available around the clock and make government service delivery more efficient and accessible across various government domains. This application reduces costs and streamlines organizational practices, demonstrating the reengineering of government processes and procedures. These applications derive their essence when they improve the performance of government organizations and help them deliver public services effectively and efficiently to all stakeholders.
